The diabetes community felt so much joy and appreciation recently when Kate Moss’s daughter, 18 yr old Lila Moss walked the runway wearing a stunning Versace outfit and a lifesaving Omnipod.

If you haven’t heard of Omnipod yet , I highly encourage you read about it here and talk to your Diabetes Educator about this amazing technology that in short is a tubeless insulin pump.

As stated in the News.com.au article , fellow type 1 diabetics spread messages of thanks to Lila.

“Lila Moss modelling for Versace; no attempt to hide or bling the Omnipod insulin pump,” one wrote …

“Seeing Lila Moss wearing her Omnipod on a freaking supermodel runway is a great reminder that I shouldn’t be so self conscious of the way my pump and CGM looks on me,” another added.

“Such a wonderful, proud and positive statement for #type1diabetes,” one user stated.

While one wrote: “Evidence for the gremlins out there that T1 diabetes is still not related to body size or lifestyle.”

Whilst Omnipod is now available in Australia it is too expensive for majority of families. Please sign this petition to subsides the Omnipod. https://www.aph.gov.au/e-petitions/petition/EN3240
