Parents of schoolchildren with Type 1 Diabetes have welcomed a comprehensive guide to help them negotiate the stressful transfer of their child’s complex care to school personnel during school hours.

Geelong paediatrician Dr Peter Goss was extremely honoured to represent Australia at the annual meeting of the International Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) to collect the award as judged by international peers as being the most significant paediatric diabetes innovation in the past year.

We are super proud of Type1 Dad Jeff Downes who is currently training hard to run for Type 1 and tackle a Half Marathon in the Melbourne Melbourne on October 13th.

It was an incredible honour to be keynote speaker and share my journey at the Humans in Geelong Book Launch in Geelong this month. The opportunity to share why I started our amazing community that is the Type1 Foundation and to share how a diagnosis changes your life forever.
