Andi Balog is a Nutritionist, Personal Trainer and owner of Empowering Health, Nutrition and Health Coaching for Type 1 Diabetics. Having lived with Type 1 herself for over 20 years, Andi draws on her extensive knowledge of fitness and nutrition, as well as her lived experience with Type 1 to support individuals with their Diet, Weightloss, Fitness and Blood Sugar goals.
Type 1 Diabetes and other aspects of our health are all interrelated. When we struggle with our blood sugars, we can find it hard to sleep. When we struggle with our sleep, we can feel hungrier. When we overeat, we can easily gain weight. When we gain weight, our confidence suffers. When our confidence is low, we can find it hard to manage the daily highs and lows of T1D. On top of just dealing with the highs and lows of each day!
Andi works with her clients to break down barriers to change and fill gaps in education around Nutrition, Exercise and Type 1 Diabetes. She believes you (or your child) can eat the foods you love, lose weight, exercise without lows, and live confidently with Type 1.
