My beautiful big sis Breeanna.

She was diagnosed with T1D the day before her 26th birthday, in 2019.

I can say confidently that Bree is the most passionate and determined person I know, I got to witness her relearn how to eat, move, and live after being diagnosed. And after learning how to do all of those things again, she keeps learning.

Bree is in her last year of a Nutrition degree, with the intent to use all of this knowledge to help other people with T1D not just survive, but thrive and be in tune with their bodies.

In January of this year Bree hiked a 9 day round trip to the Annapurna base camp in Nepal, 4,130m above sea level. She planned for months about all of the supplies she would need to support her diabetes, and carried all 15kg of gear she had all the way up.

She doesn’t let her T1 stop her from doing anything and her wisdom leaves me in awe, as her little sister I hope I can be half as much of a legend as she is.
